Central West Libraries in New South Wales have partnered with the Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health at the University of Newcastle (CRRMH) to launch a Books on Prescription scheme in Orange, New South Wales.
Public Libraries NSW Country, Central West Zone (PLC CWZ) was successful in the 2010/11 Library Development Grants Application for its Books on Prescription proposal. A grant of $70,000 will start a Books on Prescription to be in 2015.
A recommended reading list is being developed in collaboration with mental health professionals. CRRMH will evaluate the program.
